Bottom coil welding

This flow pack machine carries out a sealing at the head and at the tail of the package thanks to the transverse sealer and a longitudinal sealing above the product for the entire length as for the version with the reel from above. The difference is that the machine works with a reel placed at the bottom and the product is carried forward by the film which is then sealed. They are flow pack packaging machines also known as inverted and are used to package all those products that have a particular shape and difficult to enclose in a standard forming tunnel. For example, they are good for packaging sponges but not good for packaging a tray of biscuits because the seal would be on the top of the product.

Variable tunnel

The variable tunnel is a forming tunnel designed to be able to have greater flexibility than a fixed tunnel. Through simple adjustments it is possible to vary the width and height in order to be able to package smaller or larger products. However, it is not possible to change the diagonals of the film inlet plowshares, this limits the use to products of not too different dimensions. For example, it will be difficult to pack a packet of crackers and a tub of peaches with the same tunnel.

MAP

The Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is the process by which an inert gas, generally nitrogen, is inserted inside the package, replacing the presence of oxygen. By doing so, the food product inside the flow pack bag will have a longer shelf life and consequently can be stored more easily for a longer period of time.
To pack in MAP it is necessary that the packaging machine is translating or rotary with Long Dwell sealer and that it has the predisposition for the connection of the gas cylinders and the gas injection system.
The flow pack packaging machine can be set up for packaging in MAP through a normal flow meter or through a Dan Sensor system with mixer and analyzer. The Dan Sensor system complete with mixer and analyzer allows to have a constant control over the amount of gas in relation to the oxygen that is present in each package, guaranteeing precision and safety that otherwise cannot be obtained. However, this system is mounted only on high quality and high cost packaging machines because it is a particularly expensive system.

A device for reading the printed film notch pitch that allows you to read the position of the notch and to correct the phasing of the envelope so that the sealing always takes place between one notch and another. This method is essential if the package we have to make is printed with a graphic that must always be shown in full.
